Valuation Terms
Last updated: 8 October 2026 (version 2026-10-08)
These terms apply when you use the free online estimate or order an expert valuation from BusinessForSale.pk, operated by [Registered business name] ("we", "us"). They add to our Terms of Service. You accept them by ticking the box on the estimate form or when you place an order.
In short: the free estimate is an automatic, indicative range based only on what you type in. The expert valuation is an opinion of value prepared by our analysts from the documents you give us. Neither is a guarantee of the price a buyer will pay, an audit, or legal, tax or investment advice.
1. The two services
- Free online estimate. A range calculated instantly from the figures and answers you enter, using the method and multiples our team has set for your industry. It is not reviewed by a person and it is free.
- Expert valuation (paid). An analyst reviews your month-by-month sales, expenses, owner drawings, assets, lease, licences and supporting documents, may visit the business, applies our industry template with written adjustments, and a second analyst approves the result before it is shared with you.
2. What a valuation is based on
- Both services rely on the information and documents you provide. We do not audit them, although we may ask for evidence and point out inconsistencies.
- You confirm that what you give us is true, complete and not misleading, and that you are entitled to share it.
- Unless the report says otherwise, the value is for the running business as a going concern. Stock at cost, cash, receivables and liabilities (supplier, utility, tax and staff dues) are excluded and settled separately.
- A valuation reflects the information and market conditions on its date and is valid for 90 days, after which figures and conditions may have changed.
3. How you may use it
- The estimate and the report are for your own use in deciding an asking price and negotiating a sale through or outside BusinessForSale.pk.
- They are not a formal valuation for a bank, court, tax authority, insurer, partnership dispute or company accounts, unless we agree that purpose with you in writing before we start.
- You may share the report with a genuine prospective buyer or your own advisers. No one else may rely on it, and we owe no duty to anyone other than you.
- The price a buyer actually pays depends on negotiation, due diligence and market conditions, and may be higher or lower than our range.
4. Fees and payment
- The expert valuation fee is calculated from your industry and the indicative size of the business, plus any optional add-ons you choose (for example an express report or a site visit outside our usual area). The full fee is shown, line by line, before you place the order.
- If your business is unusual (for example several branches), our desk may adjust the quote before you pay. We will explain the change and you can cancel without charge.
- The fee is payable in advance by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa to the accounts shown on your order. Use your order reference (VAL-…) as the payment reference and submit the transaction ID in your dashboard. Work starts once we confirm the payment.
- Where your order says so, the fee is credited against our success fee if your business is later sold through BusinessForSale.pk.
5. Your part and timing
- The turnaround shown on your order runs from the later of payment confirmation and receipt of the documents we ask for.
- You agree to give us reasonable access to records, and to the business if a visit is part of the service, and to answer our questions promptly.
- If we cannot complete the valuation because documents or access are not provided within 30 days, we may close the order (see refunds below).
6. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel free of charge before you pay.
- If you cancel after paying but before an analyst has started work, we refund the fee in full, less any bank or wallet charges.
- If work has started (documents reviewed or a visit made), we refund the fee less a reasonable amount for the work done, which we will explain.
- Once the report has been delivered, the fee is not refundable, but tell us if you think something is wrong and we will review it.
- Refunds go back to the account you paid from, usually within 10 working days.
7. Confidentiality
We keep your figures, documents and report confidential and use them only to provide the service, to improve our industry templates (in anonymised, aggregated form) and as our Privacy Policy describes. Documents are stored privately and shared only through short-lived links.
8. Limits of our responsibility
- We prepare valuations with reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for loss caused by information that was wrong or missing when you gave it to us.
- The free estimate is provided as is, without any warranty.
- For the expert valuation, our total liability to you is limited to the fee you paid for it, except where the law does not allow liability to be limited (for example for fraud).
9. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. Orders and estimates record the version you accepted, and that version applies to them. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
